We recently had the honor of sponsoring Gilbert Christian Schools at one of their home games. It was a night full of excitement, community and joy. We got the opportunity to set up a booth and hand out water!
At half time we drove out onto the field in a truck with the school mascot riding along beside us. We came out to hand out “Be the Good” T-shirts to students, parents, staff and fans. We didn’t wear the shirts ourselves, we simply handed them out and watched people’s faces light up when they got one. Everyone went crazy in the stands for these T-shirts.
The phrase “Be the Good” is inspired by Matthew 5:16 which says
“In the same way let your light shine before others so that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
We are so grateful to Gilbert Christian Schools for giving us this opportunity to be part of something special. Seeing so many students and families holding up those shirts cheering, waving and smiling made it clear how powerful small gestures can be.
Thank you to the mascot, the staff, volunteer families and everyone who accepted a shirt with a smile. We had so much fun and felt so honored to give back.
We look forward to many more moments like this where we can show up, share hope and encourage one another to be the good in our community.
